Sad day, as an Iverson fan.

I used to admire Allen Iverson. He was the smallest, yet, the toughest player on the court. I didn't care much about his "Practice!" rant, cuz he delivered when it counted. I even bought his jersey.

Sadly, at the end of his illustrious career, he is now the definition of selfishness, an example of how not to approach the game, an afterthought, and what hurts me the most, a joke.

hey sam, you've got to read the wages of wins journal. AI has, in fact, been always a turnover-prone, inefficient, high-volume shooter, i.e. = unproductive. Unlike Steve Nash, AI didn't deserve his MVP.

The link above is one of the many AI-related posts - you should search and read them all. I highly recommend you read all the entries, and even their comments.

cheers, jas

I never been a fan of Iverson. As you know, I love passing the ball around to make the team enjoy the game. However, AI never can do that.

BBall is a team sport, but his playing has too much "I" in it, so.. unless he knows how to cooperate w/ others, he never can get the champ. Just like the old Kobe who wanted to be the team No.1

Alex: Fortunately for me, I can never take guys off the dribble and score, so I've always been a passer (not by choice...).

Jason: I know! I know AI has never been a good teammate nor as great a player as people praise, but I just admire his fighting spirit.

I just watched Rockets vs Blazers Gm.6, Yao Ming does not have that spirit.
